Testimonial Tuesday

Testimonial Tuesday is dedicated to Testimonial Givers.

We call them Testimonialings.

It’s our Reference Letter that speaks volumes for us as Career Professionals.

Here at VYA Online; one of our biggest testimonials is that we pay before we play!

Whenever our staff buys a product or hires a service; we make sure that payment is sent.

No fuss No Muss or schemes here!

Our reputation is our biggest Testimonial.

It’s a billboard that advertises for us.

That’s why sticking to your deal by doing what you say is our core value.

When you think of Testimonials, they happen without trying.

Saying how we like or dislike a company, product or service.

Giving Testimonials is easy but gaining better ones is more difficult.

Too many times they’re too weak in description.

That’s why we created our Testimonial Tuesday guide to better testimonials.

WHO – Is the Testimonial for

WHAT – Details of how they assisted you

WHERE – It took place – online, in person, on location (this is optional)

WHEN – Timeline of when it took place

WHY – Reason why you’d recommend

HOW – Benefits of how it helped you

Put that all together & you have the makings of a great testimonial!

Example: Company ABC’s product XYZ helps me with _______.

Whenever I need ___________, it’s there to help me handle the job.

Saving hassle, time & money every time.

There you have it; our Testimonalings.

Fundraising Programs available for Charities & Non Profits

Our blog returns today May 1st. On Monday’s is when we discuss one of our services & it’s benefits. This month our feature service is fundraising programs for registered charities & non profits.

The management team at VYA Online are all big believers in community support, giving back & reducing global poverty including assistance to non profits.

From time to time, our help with non profit projects is requested.

Our task is to find the non profits or charities, contact them in order to pre-screen fundraising programs eligibility.

Last fall when we started working on this regularly; Our internal list of non profits & charities to contact about fundraising program was average sized & we ran out of organizations to contact.

With our company background in telemarketing; our staff made cold calls.

We also have lists generated of thousands up thousands potential organizations to contact & have met others at various public events.

Our main project offers complimentary online advertising at for registered charities & non profits worldwide.

There are other projects available on a case by case basis in certain regions.

Follow ups start up again this afternoon & will continue until mid July, then resume mid September.

About Reputation Man: Customer Service Expert, Head of Operations & Reputation Management for VYA Online. On select Monday’s writes about our Virtual Assistant services & how they benefit small business owners.

VYA turns eight

Today Virtually Yours (Assistance) called VYA turns eight.

It all started on this day in 2009.

Had been at work & had a thought for a couple of friends who were looking for extra cash.

Talked to one after work but then had to wait to reach the other person after 6pm.

When they both agreed, we then had to decide on a name for what they’d call their service & what the company (me) would be named.

The advertising exec in me started brainstorming different names until it felt “perfect”.

Finally at 6:30pm the right sounding name was chosen & with assistance in brackets.

With my less than impeccable entrepreneurial skills back then, created a Facebook Fan page.

Friends raved about how great it was to land my “first contract” with what seemed to them was a large company.

Had to laugh and say I am the company that hired me!

First jobs consulted of placing ads & sending leads to service providers on a commission basis.

Next was finding focus group attendees which I’d done in the past for select companies.

Fast forward from then to now.

In the past seven years there’s been a lot of changes.

Much development of myself & skills as the company has grown from just a one woman show.

Newer services being added frequently, help given to worthy & the addition of tech tutorials.

We are actively working on making a difference towards reducing global poverty.

This was the dream of my Maternal Grandmother.from

She’d grown up in extreme poverty & during my early childhood years this is what she instilled in me.

As we go forward into year eight, here’s to more continued growth & achieving more successes.

One goal I want to strive for is to win an award; that’s something I’ve always wanted but never got.

Here’s to us and our Executive Team of Firecrackers!

Just over three weeks since the holiday season ended & this week regular business hours will return to normal for all businesses.

Had to make a few personal customer service calls & the lines were busy which meant long hold times.

Some places offer priority call support which saves agony of sitting on hold forever.

During and after holiday times is stressful for customer service as first they deal with the mad pre-rush, then after holiday sales, inventory & returns.

Takes two weeks from the start of January for things to settle & another full week before things return to regular business hours tasks.

For non retail or online marketplaces things can be quite slow. This is industry dependent but this week everything will return to usual.

Having spent much of November with our usual yearly hiatus & then the holiday season with life commitments; we’re ready to get back into things.

Our plan here at VYA Online is to go back to business networking in a week from today.

Regular Business Networking and VolNetworking is on our list to take us into February and beyond.

Looking forward to putting our Business God lessons into overdrive!

We will also be getting ready for our company work anniversary is also in thirty-two days.

How will we celebrate?

The usual way with our MemeOlogy

What else would you expect from Geeks?

During and right after public holidays; customer service operates on holiday hours.
Customer Service Holiday Hours can sometimes be extended or in some cases shortened so staff can be with their families.

For any essential service; they are a 24hr operation. That’s police, fire and ambulance emergency response teams & dispatch centres.

Coming back from any type of public holiday break doesn’t compare to winter customer service contact from December to just after New Years.

It is a very stressful time for customer service in person as well as phone/internet.

Please keep in mind it’s a stressful time after the holiday as well.

There may be long waits.

For this reason, many stores don’t accept returns until early January.

If going to make any purchases; go early in the day if possible & avoid the rush of customers. This is especially if you’re an impatient or timely person; avoid future aggravation.

Should going to buy be a must; please give yourself extra time to get there safely, to get through the customer lineups and also extra travel time to return home safely.

For online or telephone customer service; their waits can be upto 30 minutes at times.
If not urgent need & you can avoid it until after the first ten days of January; then please do.

You’ll be thankful for saving yourself and the customer service reps from stress of the post holiday season.

Happy 2017!

Social Media Postings

Social Media postings; what times are good to post when you want to share something?

This discussion came up recently with an online friend who mentioned about sometimes you may have a burning idea or something you want to post on Facebook but it’s midnite & no one is around.

Well, for many people & particularly those involved in a business of any type their social media contacts aren’t always in their timezone.

I replied that while it might be midnite their local time; it’s afternoon somewhere.

2am in Los Angeles could be 2pm in Madrid or Budapest meaning that someone is online somewhere.

There are scheduling programs that pick optimized times of when that update will reach the most people.

Two months ago was talking to another I knew thru business networking & mentioned how we regularly share our blog posts online in the early morning. We weren’t getting as many article views when sharing early Sunday morning.

Reply I got was a laugh saying it’s one day when people sleep in & don’t read early morning blog posts.

We did hold off then the next week continued again as we had to get it out of the way.

What we found was that it depended on topic interest.

You need a catchy headline to capture interest & people will click.

Social Media Postings at 1:00AM local time Christmas Day still gets views.

Think who you’re trying to reach & clicks also depend on interest of end recipient.

Tech is my mine while yours could be science.

Our blog reach on most articles applies to readers in a global market.
Every business deals with Technology, Productivity & Customer Service.
